Choose the neighbourhood around the reason for the trip: a south Mumbai visit, an Andheri production or a Powai work assignment.
Plan for the people staying together
List the number of guests, room preferences, dates and accessibility requirements. Ask whether the quote is per room or for the entire property, and which common areas your group can use.
Compare the full tenure, included charges and exit arrangements as well as the headline price. Ask for the agreed specification and inclusions in writing. Availability and commercial terms come directly from the provider.
Book the room arrangement your group needs
Ask whether you are booking a private room, several rooms or exclusive use of the house. Confirm bathrooms, common spaces, meal arrangements and who else may use the property. A family visit, corporate assignment and production crew can need very different combinations of privacy and support.
Make arrivals and daily routines explicit
Give guest numbers, arrival times, length of stay and the actual Mumbai destination you need to reach. Ask about late check-in, visitors, housekeeping, laundry and luggage storage. Compare the full stay charge and cancellation terms with a hotel room or serviced apartment on the same dates.
Questions before you enquire
Is a guest house the same as a serviced apartment?
The labels can cover different arrangements. Ask what is private, what is shared and which services belong to the particular booking.
Can a crew use the property as a shoot location?
Accommodation does not automatically include filming or equipment staging. State that purpose and obtain the provider’s specific confirmation.
